Visual Arts

Visual arts at the College of Santa Fe and in the surrounding area offer a vibrant palette for inspiration and put students in the heart of the action.

On campus, The Screen shows the independent and critically acclaimed films you don't ordinarily see in a 70,000-person town. The Santa Fe Art Institute engages students with lectures, workshops, and residency opportunities, as well as visiting artists such as Jenny Holzer, Helen Frankenthaler, and Richard Diebenkorn.

You'll also find one of the most photographed buildings in Santa Fe, the Visual Arts Center.

Digging deeper into the region's history, the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum downtown showcases the work of its namesake and like-minded artists across nine galleries. Hopi carvings, Navaho textiles, and more are on display at the Santa Fe Indian Market, both a marketplace and an organization which nurtures the careers of promising Native American artists.

One of Santa Fe's greatest treasures is the Center for Contemporary Arts. At this always-on-the-move institution, you can experience cutting-edge exhibitions, workshops, festivals, and more.
