Santa Fe's stages don't sleep—and students are as welcome behind the scenes as they are in the audience.
The Lensic Performing Arts Center hosts a World Music series, the Aspen Santa Fe Ballet, local works, classic movies and opera-casts from the Metropolitan Operate. Watch—or learn—acrobatic skills at Wise Fool New Mexico or participate in multimedia and spoken word events at the Center for Contemporary Arts.
Passionate about classical music? Audition for the chorus of the Santa Fe Symphony Orchestra, or take in the annual Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival. The Santa Fe Opera offers performances under the stars and opportunities for internships and prestigious apprenticeships.
For dramatists, Theater Grottesco brings in performances from around the world and THEATERWORK spotlights regional writers. First-time playwrights can apply to present their work at the traditional Santa Fe Playhouse, as well as teach and intern, while Santa Fe Performing Arts offers an adult residential performing company, a new playwrights competition, training, and education.
